Make sure it's within your budget, and that it has a HDD built-in.

hard drives suck =P
go old school and get an old one... dv or VHS even xD... dvd camera's are annoying cause you can't edit the video's without a converter, and with the HDD ones you need alooot of free memory on your PC... but if you go with HDD make sure that it's high defenition otherwise there's no point in getting it...

DV range from $100 - $500
DVD range from $250 - $800+
HDD range from $600 - $900+
HD HDD Range from $1000 - $5000+
